Meet Dr. Lauren Capozza
Dr. Lauren Capozza has been practicing pediatric dentistry in the Cincinnati area since 2012. She was thrilled to open her own dental practice in August 2020. Dr. Lauren began the pursuit of her dream at DePauw University in Indiana, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biochemistry. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Lauren became a published author of a research study on the topic of Autism Spectrum Disorders. Following dental school, she completed a two year specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Lauren spent over five years as an attending staff at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where she supervised and taught pediatric dental residents. She still returns to the hospital as a volunteer lecturer to help share her knowledge. This involvement with the hospital helps Dr. Lauren develop expertise in the areas of dental traumas, sedation and children with special health care needs.
She is board certified in pediatric dentistry by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and Ohio Dental Association.
Outside of her dental practice, Dr. Lauren is busy being a mom! She loves spending time outdoors with her husband and two sons. Family and faith are her core values. As a mom, her goal is to treat all patients as if they are her own children. Dr. Lauren loves seeing her patients grow and develop beautiful, healthy smiles.
